My art making is in the form of prints, sculpture and drawing. It is about my home and places I have been, people, flora and fauna, travels to Asia, and Europe and within Australia. Text, and words overheard or seen as signage. Neighbours’ bizarre habits, their animals and plants, comings and goings all find their way into my work.
Prints are relief and printed onto canvas or paper from Styrofoam, card, wood or a combination. Styrofoam is collected from grocery boxes and sometimes shaped or pieced together as a jigsaw to make large stamps. I am interested in using recycled materials both in sculpture and printmaking as well as found objects.
Images and ideas, flashes of insight and of bewilderment, interwoven and overlaid and juxtaposed – all the fervor and ferment that is art and my response to the world around me.
